CBRE — 2019 CBRE investor survey found that investors expect to remain active in real estate markets this year, with interest in industrial and multifamily markets on the rise. The survey also reveals that the search for yield in a late-cycle environment is drawing more investors into secondary markets.

Previously deemed too “unglamorous” by high-net-worth (HNW) investors, the industrial asset class now offers some of the best returns in the market. Low vacancy rates, high asking rents, and a relatively low probability of a major downturn in industrial asset prices make for appealing investments.
New Opportunity Zone Ranking Shows Tertiary Markets Have Investment Potential
Bisnow — An article outlining the diverse array of Opportunity Zones throughout the country including secondary and tertiary markets, as well as suburban and rural areas, that could present appealing investment opportunities outside the more obvious U.S. coastal cities. The report gives top-20 ranks to potential cities such as Ogden, Utah (14), Biloxi, Mississippi (16), and Reno, Nevada (19).
